SHANGHAI, Oct. 30 (SMM) -China’s copper demand will increase 232,000 tonnes by the year 2025, the International Copper Association (ICA) Asian head Zhou Sheng predicts.
He based his forecast on the development of China’s manufacturing and transportation sectors.
A research by the ICA finds the more advanced the technology is used, the more copper is consumed in end products.
Copper consumption in China’s rail construction will grow from present 51,000 to 6 tonnes per kilometer by 2025.
Railway construction and robot sectors will profoundly boost copper consumption.
